Alessandra BB

Moment, 2025, oil on canvas, 20 x 21 cm, £440

About this work:

This painting reflects memory and migration through a local and intimate ritual. The image of a hand holding a crystal glass refers to a family tradition of celebration with inherited objects. Such gestures travel across borders, carried by the body and repeated over time, becoming anchors of identity in new places. The crystal glass serves as a universal symbol for holding memories of past gatherings while being displaced into another reality.
